Assets and Sub-Assets (nucleous of the system)

Assets are items such as Glass Cutting Tables, Flexo Printing Machine, CNC Mills, Welding Center, Crating Department and more. Assets do not have to be an actual machine or equipement, it can be a department. An asset is what you need to track inventory, labor and cost.

Machine Center as example:
  • Asset: Machine Center
    • Sub-Asset: 5 Axis 6 Meter CNC Mill
    • Sub-Asset: 10 Meter CNC Bridgeport Mill
    • Sub-Asset: CNC Cold Saw

Flexo Printing Machine as example:
  • Asset: DRO
    • Sub-Asset: Prefeeder (mfg. Alliance Machine)
    • Sub-Asset: Feed Section (mfg. BOBST)
    • Sub-Asset: Print Unit 1 (mfg. BOBST)
    • Sub-Asset: Print Unit 2 (mfg. BOBST)
    • Sub-Asset: Print Unit 2 (mfg. BOBST)
    • Sub-Asset: Die Cutting Section (mfg. BOBST)
    • Sub-Asset: Stacker (mfg. Alliance Machine)
    • Sub-Asset: Bottom Feeder (mfg. Alliance Machine)
    • Sub-Asset: IR System (mfg. PRI)

90% of the database tables are linked to the assets and sub-assets. This allows building reports simple and collecting information is seamless.

If you are using the RFCMMS MiddleWare module, setting your production hours allows you to see uptime of the machines usage. Click here to see an example

Below is results of having Assets and Sub-Asset relations. This method allows you to focus on where to real issues are. The below results show most labor is on Print Unit 2 and the die cut section. Within this report view, you can click a sub-asset and view all the work orders for that sub-asset.
